SAFETY APPROVAL CERTIFICATION:
More safety = More value
playfit® equipment meets PPP 55012A:2010 test specification requirements. This is a safety standard applicable to training equipment installed in public spaces or in areas to which members of the public have free access and which, at the same time, does not require any form of supervision during use. PPP 55012A:2010 certification is based on the same safety standards which apply to playground equipment (DIN EN 1176), stationary training equipment (DIN EN 957) and gymnastic equipment (DIN EN 913).
In addition, playfit® equipment also bears what is known as the GS mark for “Approved Safety”. This means that the equipment and the production facilities themselves have been tested, monitored and certified in accordance with Section 7 of the German Equipment and Product Safety Act. (§7 Geräte- und Produktsicherheitsgesetz - GPSG) by an approved monitoring organization. For playfit® this was carried out by the German TÜV Süd Product Services GmbH, one of Europe’s leading certification organizations in this field.
playfit® is also active in setting standards: As a full member of a German DIN Committee set up in 2009 to develop a new safety standard (E DIN 79000) which will apply to permanently installed outdoor fitness equipment.
